Of course, this quilt couldn’t just go to any baby girl. She needs to be a very special baby girl. So, I’ve been waiting, and waiting for just the right baby to be expected. Over Christmas, we got word that a dear dear friend and his wife are expecting their first baby, a baby girl due to arrive in May! It was meant to be and I couldn’t be more excited. I give you . . . . Pink Elephants on Parade!
I’m not a girly girl, so it couldn’t be PINK PINK and MORE PINK as far as I’m concerned. I love how bright and cheerful it turned out and I think the green quilting looks so cool on that pink backing!
I’m really proud that I was able to piece it all using the methods here, but no dimensions . . . and I fixed a really wonky block after I had half basted the quilt, by un-piecing two blocks and putting them back in! Ha.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this new technique, it was fun. And I am so, so, so, thrilled with how it turned out! I L-O-V-E it!
I LOVE it! I LOVE it!
